Issue d’une longue tradition urbaine, cette fontaine réinterprète le rôle symbolique de l’eau. Alliance bimatérielle de l’acier et de l’eau, elle privilégie une composition sobre et monochrome où le mouvement et le son deviennent matière. Entre rigidité et fluidité, l’œuvre invite à la contemplation et à la rencontre.

Mathieu Cloutier, architecte et cofondateur de l’Atelier Approche Totale, Julian Perreault, designer œuvrant au sein de l’Atelier Gris, et Louis-Guy Roy, designer et vitrier, sont des créateurs qui collaborent depuis plusieurs années. Explorateurs de la matière et expérimentateurs artistiques, ils développent une pratique ancrée dans la fabrication, l’essai et l’erreur. Leur démarche privilégie la manipulation directe des matériaux, la fabrication et l’assemblage, nourrissant des projets artistiques variés où le geste, la matière et l’intuition occupent une place centrale.

Rooted in a long urban tradition, this fountain reinterprets the symbolic role of water. A bimaterial alliance of steel and water, it favors a restrained, monochromatic composition in which movement and sound become material. Between rigidity and fluidity, the work invites contemplation and encounter.

Mathieu Cloutier, an architect and co-founder of Atelier Approche Totale, Julian Perreault, a designer working at Atelier Gris, and Louis-Guy Roy, a designer and glass artist, are creators who have been collaborating for several years. Explorers of materiality and artistic experimentation, they develop a practice rooted in making, trial and error. Their approach privileges hands-on material manipulation, fabrication, and assembly, resulting in a wide range of artistic projects where gesture, material, and intuition play a central role.
